Where have all these strange powers come from and why does Eric say that death isn't the end?
Lightning Girl The Secret World of the Supernatural Superconnected Book 1 eBook 27
When Stephanie reveals her special power, the ability to control static electricity and lightening, to the world, she is not prepared for the consequences. The young man Stephanie is in love with, Kyan, has special powers too. Stephanie’s hope that her coming out with her powers would help her connect with others who have supernatural abilities puts her and Kyan in the middle of a group of teens in a battle against the forces of hell. At stake is the very survival of the world.Written for young adults, this is a book that will appeal to a variety of readers. Told in the first person and partially in flashbacks, it presents the character of Stephanie as an extremely sympathetic and complicated young girl. Her trying life as a teen runaway and her difficult family history have not dimmed her optimism or belief in other human beings or her capacity for faith. She is surrounded by various characters, many of whom have hidden agendas and secrets, and by a group of teens who are given the responsibility for saving the world. All of the teen characters are well crafted and compelling, but it is the main character that is the heart of this supernatural thriller and it is Stephanie that young adult readers and fans of supernatural fiction will identify with.

Lightning Girl The Secret World of the Supernatural Superconnected Book 1 eBook 27 Reviews
Wonderful story. I can hardly wait for the next. The characters were really good with many different personalities. The plot was strangely inspiring. I really want to read the following story. Who is 27
The evolution of Stephanie's character throughout the book is an amazing up and down twisted road. U begin rooting for her to accomplish all her goals. Very unique characters and lots of challenges for them to face.
This straightforward novel combines the excitement of superpowers with the intrigue of an entire new concept of heaven and earth. Imaginative and likable characters evolve through several adventures to a truly epic finish. Counting the days until the next book hits the shelves.
This ebook deserves a top rating because it is the ultimate supernatural ride. It is a story about young adults. However, it is entertaining for all ages. From heroes, villains, beauty queens, monsters, good and evil, this story has it all and more. Pick this one up. You will not be able to put it down.
They treat you like you are not worthy to be in the same world as everyone else You have a rare gift, there are other, like you, but with different gifts. Your
Shifted around and find yourself in a beauty pageant This will call attention to others like you, that are caged like you or worse. You find that you are now responsible to defend the planet
I would have to say the author definitely used skills to pull the reader in and keep your attention. chapter after chapter your transfixed in the storyline to see if Stephanie the main character will triumphant or be returned to her prison in the orphanage closet. Later in the book you get so caught up in the other synergies that I found myself hoping they weren't being played and led into a massive government trap to study them and imprison them all again making Stephanie look like the bad guy. I loved the devotion Stephanie had for little Kyan ,she was willing to do what ever it took to keep that little boy safe. I can't wait to read the next in the series.
I'm sorry but I really had a hard time with this book. It was so totally far-fetched. Yes, I know it was written as a YA book but many of those are much better written than this one. I don't usually fuss much about poor writing and grammer but this book was full of them. It actually became distracting. The book was free so I don't feel like I lost much besides some time. The supposed hero (the older brother) is completely unlikable and flips flops between our heroine and another girl. He is mean and the only redeeming thing about him in my eyes was his younger brother. She had another friend, Lucky, who helped her escape from the orphanage and he was far more likable. My main problem was actually with Stephanie. I just didn't seem to like her. She came off as weak and tossed to and fro with her emotions. Her first sexual encounter (implied, never described really. That is one plus) is being raped by some guy that uses her. Then she is with Lucky. She finally is able to do it with Keith (our hero?) who she is really crushing on and then a day or so later Lucky is back in her life and she's having sex in the back of a limo with him. I just guess this one wasn't my cup of tea
